About The Role
We are seeking a talented and experienced Software Engineer - Frontend to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping the user interface and overall front-end architecture of our platform. Your expertise will help set high standards for UI and design quality across our products, ensuring an intuitive and seamless experience for our users. You will collaborate closely with product teams to develop new features, improve existing components, and drive the UI roadmap forward. Your technical leadership will influence frontend decision-making and contribute to the development of scalable, maintainable, and accessible web applications. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge developer tools, engage directly with customers for feedback, and contribute to the growth and success of WorkOS.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of industry experience in software development with interactive applications
- Proven track record of building, shipping, and supporting feature-rich dashboards or applications
- Experience leading projects and prioritizing work based on customer impact
- High-level design and UX sensibility
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and patterns, with the ability to implement and educate others
- Expertise in React, CSS, and TypeScript
- Familiarity with backend fundamentals and database concepts
- Experience working in small, fast-paced teams
- Ability to develop and ship web applications end-to-end
- Strong prioritization, organization, and communication skills
- Demonstrated curiosity, independence, and passion for creating excellent products
- Bonus: Experience in B2B SaaS, developer tools, or related industries
Responsibilities
- Help establish and uphold high standards for UI and design quality across all surfaces
- Collaborate with product teams to design and implement intuitive interfaces for upcoming product launches
- Build, document, and maintain component patterns to enable product engineers to deliver features with optimal UX
- Own and enhance core frontend architecture, including data loading, synchronization, and service integrations
- Contribute to the UI roadmap, continuously seeking improvements to enhance user experience and developer satisfaction
- Provide expert guidance on frontend technical decisions across the organization
- Develop empathy and understanding of customer needs to inform feature development
- Prioritize work based on customer impact and organizational goals
- Lead initiatives while fostering collaboration and elevating team members
- Engage directly with customers to gather feedback and inform product development
- Assist in recruiting, mentoring, and evaluating future engineering team members
- Represent the team publicly through blog posts, documentation, and design system resources
- Contribute to Radix projects, including new development and maintenance activities
