Overview:
Our client is currently undergoing a major mobile transformation, replatforming six Android applications from Xamarin to React Native. To support this initiative, they are expanding their existing team of 11 developers and seeking experienced React Native professionals to help ensure high-quality planning and delivery.
Contract Length: 12 months
Location: France (fully remote)
Language requirement: French
Start Date: ASAP
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance mobile applications using React Native.
- Maximize code sharing across iOS and Android platforms.
- Integrate REST and GraphQL APIs.
- Implement third-party services such as payments, push notifications, analytics, and geolocation.
- Work with native libraries and develop custom bridges (Swift/Objective-C for iOS, Kotlin/Java for Android).
- Optimize app performance, responsiveness, and resource consumption.
- Troubleshoot and resolve cross-platform issues and bugs.
- Define and implement app architecture using state management tools (e.g., Redux, Zustand, Recoil, MobX).
- Develop unit and end-to-end tests using Jest and Detox.
- Manage CI/CD pipelines for deployment to the App Store and Google Play.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Expert-level proficiency in React Native (including hooks, navigation, and performance optimization).
- Strong knowledge of TypeScript.
- Experience integrating REST APIs and managing state via API context.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD workflows, preferably using GitHub Actions.
- Proficiency in unit testing with Jest.
- Familiarity with authentication via Azure AD.
- Experience working with native modules (Java for Android).
- Solid understanding of mobile app lifecycle (foreground/background states, permissions).
- Skilled in using mobile debugging tools such as Flipper and Reactotron.
Location Requirement:
Candidates must be based in France.
