My client seeking a Product & System Engineering to lead the definition, development, and integration of high-impact SATCOM and RF systems within a growing global organisation based in Abu Dhabi. This is a career-defining opportunity for a senior systems professional to join a rapidly expanding AI-powered space technology business at the forefront of innovation in connectivity, cybersecurity, and intelligent satellite infrastructure.
As a senior technical authority, you’ll identify and evaluate new technologies, lead system design and integration programs, and collaborate closely with internal strategy, commercial, and operations teams to deliver transformative space-based solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the identification, evaluation, and integration of cutting-edge satellite communication and RF technologies, including phased array antennas, beamforming systems, and protected military-grade modems.
- Manage full lifecycle system engineering programs — from design and specification through integration, testing, and operational handover.
- Define and enforce engineering standards and governance, ensuring robust processes across documentation, testing, link analysis, and acceptance.
- Build and guide a high-performing engineering team, maintaining alignment with evolving industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Partner with commercial teams to structure and validate Statements of Work (SoWs), Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and risk-mitigated delivery plans.
- Oversee supplier and customer relationships, ensuring on-time, on-budget program delivery and contractual compliance.
- Contribute to the technology roadmap, driving adoption of next-generation SATCOM, RF, and cybersecurity systems.
- Ensure seamless project transition to operations, including O&M manuals, training, testing reports, and spares documentation.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Degree in Engineering (Telecommunications, Electrical, or related).
- 6–10+ years’ experience in Satellite Communications, RF Systems, or Telecommunications.
- Proven track record managing complex SATCOM system programs, including ground segment design, subsystem integration, and link budget modelling.
- Strong background in RF engineering, phased array systems, and beamforming technologies.
- Experience with military-grade modems, protected waveform systems, or defence SATCOM programs.
- Skilled in project management, budgeting, and risk control; PMP / Prince2 / ITIL certification is a plus.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity in space systems and PNT / SIGINT applications is advantageous.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and supplier negotiation skills.
