About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data/MLOps Engineer to join our dynamic team dedicated to advancing the clean economy. This role is pivotal in expanding our existing ML and AI-powered features, focusing on building a robust, scalable, and efficient infrastructure that supports data-driven decision-making and product development. As the first dedicated data/MLOps engineer, you will collaborate closely with our talented engineering team and cross-functional partners to design, develop, and deploy machine learning and artificial intelligence solutions that enhance our platform's capabilities. Your work will directly contribute to making clean energy financing more intelligent, accessible, and efficient for our clients. This is a fully remote role with opportunities for co-working in major cities including San Francisco, Seattle, Washington D.C., and New York City.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, including building and operating ML or AI systems in production environments
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field
  • Deep expertise in Python and enthusiasm to learn our tech stack
  • Familiarity with web development frameworks such as Typescript and React is a plus
  • Authorized to work in the US or Canada
  • Strong ownership mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous learning
  • Deep understanding of data and a passion for modeling complex systems within the energy and industrial domains
  • Experience working on end-to-end ML pipelines, particularly in startup or fast-paced environments, is highly desirable
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within remote teams

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams to develop features supporting the renewable energy transition
  • Design and implement zero-to-one ML/AI operations infrastructure to facilitate deployment and management of data-centric analyses and features
  • Write clean, well-structured, and scalable code with a focus on usability and performance
  • Develop and maintain tests and documentation to ensure high-quality, maintainable software
  • Participate in engineering learning sessions and knowledge sharing to foster team growth and innovation
  • Act as a subject matter expert and mentor to team members on building data-centric software solutions
  • Contribute to shaping team culture and establishing best practices in engineering and data management
