AI/ML Engineer (Computer Vision)
Salary: £55,000 to £65,000 plus excellent benefits and a relocation package of up to £10k
Location: Bournemouth, Dorset, UK
We are seeking an experienced AI/ML Engineer with deep expertise in computer vision to join our client's Research & Systems Engineering team. You will drive the research, design, and deployment of cutting-edge AI/ML models for integration into our market-leading instruments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and lead innovative AI projects from concept to completion.
- Own the technical responsibility for all AI features in a key product portfolio.
- Manage AI model codebases from research to production, synchronising DevOps with GitHub.
- Implement state-of-the-art AI/ML models and evaluate performance against business objectives.
- Contribute to patent creation to protect intellectual property.
Essential Requirements
- 3-4 years of experience with major deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, Keras, TensorFlow) and deep knowledge of convolutional models.
- Demonstrable industry experience delivering computer vision-based AI projects (biotech experience preferred).
- Advanced programming expertise in Python and experience delivering robust software solutions.
- Strong software engineering practices (Git, DevOps).
- MSc or higher in a relevant quantitative discipline (CompSci, Mathematics, Physics, AI, Computational Biology) OR equivalent master's level work experience.
- Experience with ONNX is preferred.
