Role Overview
- Position: Biology Subject Matter Expert – Contractor, Remote
- 15-20 hours per week, potential to extend to 40 hours
- Contribute to a project involving state-of-the-art large language models. Create high-quality data to inform the future of AI innovation.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate the accuracy and depth of AI-generated content in Biology.
- Review complex scientific content to ensure alignment with domain-specific principles.
- Provide detailed feedback to AI research teams to improve model outputs in Biology.
- Develop and implement evaluation rubrics for assessing AI-generated Biology tasks.
- Collaborate with other subject matter experts to ensure consistency in training data.
- Work independently and asynchronously to meet project deadlines and enhance AI model performance.
Requirements / Qualifications
Must-Have Qualifications
- Biology PhD from a top US, UK, Canadian, or European university
- High attention to detail
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent proficiency in English
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in AI model training and evaluation
Engagement Details
- Hourly contractor for Mercor
- 15-20 hours per week, potential to extend to 40 hours
- Fully remote and asynchronous
- Project duration: Minimum of 1-2 months
- Paid weekly via Stripe Connect
