Senior Backend Software Engineer (Go)

## About the Role

## Key Responsibilities

* Develop and maintain backend services and REST APIs using Go.

* Design and optimize PostgreSQL schemas and queries for high-volume data.

* Build reliable orchestration and integration layers across internal systems and third-party services.

* Implement metrics, distributed tracing, and observability across backend services.

* Apply security best practices throughout backend development.

* Collaborate with the Engineering team to improve the overall developer experience.

* Work closely with frontend, full-stack, and broader engineering teams.

* Contribute to architecting, building, and maintaining SaaS platform backends.

* Adapt to shifting priorities and contribute across multiple areas of a fast-moving startup environment.

## Required Qualifications

* 5+ years of experience with Go and designing REST APIs.

* Experience writing optimized PostgreSQL queries.

* Experience building reliable integrations with third-party APIs and services.

* Experience architecting, building, and maintaining SaaS platform backends.

* Experience working in a fast-moving startup engineering environment.

* Strong communication skills across different levels of technical proficiency.

* Strong time-management skills and the ability to work effectively with clients and teams across different time zones.

* Ability to work pragmatically, move quickly, and avoid unnecessary complexity.

* Ability to take ownership, adapt to shifting priorities, and contribute across multiple responsibilities.
