🔎 What are we looking for?

We are looking for a Scala/Spark developer to be part of the team of one of our client, leader in the banking sector.

📍Location: 100% remote for people based in Spain

📋 JOB RESPONSBILITIES / ROLE

• Collaborate with business analysts and data modellers to understand reporting requirements and tranaslate these into technical specifications
• Design, develop and maintain data pipelines which transform large datasets in a regulatory environment
• Spark/Scala development, including automated testing and data controls
• Documentation of developments/changes and testing approach
• Ensuring compliance to technical designs and alignment to best practices

📋MANDATORY SKILLS:

• Big Data Hadoop - Spark/Scala well rounded experience in a regulatory setting
• AWS expertise in services such as EMR, Glue & Lambda, event driven processing and config of those services using terraform to config infrastructure
• Practical experience designing and monitoring batch processes
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash & Python
• Unix/Linux experience.
• Worked with code repositories such as GIT, Maven, etc.
• DevOps knowledge (Jenkins, Scripts, etc.): tools used for deploying software into environments; use of Jira.
• Minimum English level: C1

📋NICE TO HAVE SKILLS

• Analyst Skills: Being able to translate technical requirements to non-technical partners and to deliver clear solutions. Been able to create test cases scenario
• SQL advance knowledge: Been able to test changes and issues properly, replicating the code functionality into SQL
• Documentation: Experience of carrying out data and process analysis to create specifications documents
• Finance Knowledge: Have a experience working in Financial Services / Banking organisation with an understanding of Financial Services / Retail, Business and Corporate Banking
• Control-m practical experience: Been able to create jobs, modify parameters
• Experience with BI platforms (ideally Power BI)

📋Work schedule

• 9-18 Monday/Friday
