⭐ What will you do with us?
As Senior Equipment Engineer specialising in Epitaxy (MOCVD), you will lead the technical strategy, installation, qualification and long‑term support of Metal‑Organic Chemical Vapour Deposition tools across our fab. You will ensure equipment readiness for process development and high‑volume production, drive reliability and uptime improvements, and work closely with process engineering, maintenance, suppliers and R&D to deliver excellent device performance and yield.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Equipment deployment & qualification: Lead installation, site acceptance, and qualification activities for new and upgraded MOCVD tools, ensuring compliance with Sparc’s manufacturing readiness criteria and quality systems.
- Process enabling & integration: Collaborate with epitaxy and device process engineers to integrate equipment capability with process requirements, optimise tool recipes, and support technology transfer from R&D to production.
- Reliability, uptime & performance: Implement preventative maintenance strategies, root‑cause analysis and continuous improvement programmes to maximise tool availability and stability, minimise process excursions and reduce cost of ownership.
- Supplier & lifecycle management: Manage supplier relationships, performance agreements and spare parts strategies. Drive cost‑effective procurement, upgrades and retrofits while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental requirements.
- Technical leadership & documentation: Produce and maintain equipment specifications, qualification protocols, maintenance procedures and technical reports. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing across the organisation.
- Commissioning & transfer support: Provide on‑site and remote support for tool commissioning, process transfer, and scale‑up activities. Act as Escalation Engineer for complex equipment failures or process interactions.
- Health, safety & compliance: Ensure all equipment work adheres to health, safety and environmental policies, regulatory requirements and internal quality standards.
