Job Overview
We are looking for a Senior Rust Engineer to join a project focused on building high-quality training and evaluation datasets for LLMs using real-world GitHub repositories. You’ll work closely with researchers to identify and evaluate repositories, set up environments, validate bug-fix performance, and contribute to real software engineering challenges. This is a great opportunity to blend AI research with hands-on coding.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and triage GitHub issues from trending open-source repositories
- Set up and configure code environments using Docker and related tools
- Evaluate code quality and unit test coverage
- Modify and run codebases to test LLMs in real-world scenarios
- Collaborate with researchers to define and select challenge repositories
- Optionally lead junior engineers in contributing to project tasks
Must-Have Skills
- 3–4+ years of hands-on Rust development experience
- Strong familiarity with Git, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience working with complex, real-world codebases
- Ability to test, debug, and run open-source projects locally
- Prior exposure to GitHub workflows and issue triaging
