Sr. Scala Developer in LATIN AMERICA

We are seeking a highly skilled Scala Developer to join our team. This role is focused on designing and building globally distributed, resilient applications that support mission-critical systems. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Scala (or Java), distributed systems, and DevOps practices, along with excellent communication skills to collaborate across business and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable software and systems for platform infrastructure and applications.
• Improve system reliability, quality, and time-to-market by applying best practices in software engineering.
• Measure and optimize system performance to ensure stability and resilience.
• Support mission-critical distributed systems with a focus on scalability and availability.
• Explore, evaluate, and implement new technologies and solutions to enhance platform capabilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive transformation, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Key Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong knowledge of Scala (or Java) and proven experience building distributed applications.
• Experience with DevOps tools, processes, and culture.
• Hands-on experience designing and supporting globally distributed, mission-critical systems.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams.

Nice to Have

• Experience with web or UI development.
• Knowledge of security and network infrastructure.
• Broader DevOps and automation experience.
