About Your Role
We are looking for an experienced
Backend C#/.NET Developer with a background in large-scale 4X projects. You will join a team focused on key areas, including global map functionality and 4X mechanics.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Designing and maintaining scalable and fault-tolerant server solutions for 4X global map features (exploration, region capture, resources, diplomacy, player interactions)
- Implementing and evolving reliability and availability practices
- Diagnosing and optimizing server code and databases
- Providing timely solutions for production environment issues
- Working in a small team where backend developers also take part in game design discussions and influence decision-making
We hope that you have
- 3+ years of commercial development experience
- Experience working on large-scale 4X projects, especially involving global maps
- Strong knowledge of .NET, C#, ASP.NET Core
- Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.)
- Experience with Redis, Memcache, etc.
- Experience working with message queues (e.g. Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.)
- Understanding of good application architecture principles
- Experience handling high loads (multiplayer game sessions, world maps, LiveOps)
- Experience optimizing database queries
- Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.)
- Understanding of DDD principles
- English proficiency sufficient for reading technical documentation
