About This Role
Join Crimson Global Academy as an IT Technician specializing in our unique educational technology ecosystem. This is an exciting opportunity to move beyond traditional IT support and become an expert in the platforms and workflows that power a fast-growing global online school.
You'll be the go-to specialist for CGA's academic and operational systems, handling complex issues that require deep platform knowledge and providing reliable support to staff and students across multiple time zones.
What You'll Do
Platform Expertise & Support
- Troubleshoot and resolve common device issues for remote staff, teachers and customers (e.g., connectivity problems, performance issues, operating system updates, peripheral setup, and software installation). Guide users through remote device troubleshooting steps.
Advanced Troubleshooting
- Diagnose and resolve complex issues specific to educational workflows, such as Class Notebook synchronization problems, Canvas LTI integration errors, and recording database issues
- Document all troubleshooting steps and escalate complex cases to the CGA Engineering team with comprehensive details and much more!
What We're Looking For
Experience & Background
- 1-3 years in IT support or systems administration, with preference for remote, multi-platform environments
- Proven track record of resolving issues beyond standard Tier 1 support level
Technical Expertise
- Strong Microsoft 365 administration skills (Teams, OneNote, SharePoint, OneDrive)
- Experience with Google Workspace, Zoom, and SSO/Identity platforms (Auth0, Cognito, Azure AD)
- Canvas LMS or similar learning management system experience preferred
- Basic SQL knowledge (Metabase/Snowflake) is a plus
- Enthusiasm for learning new technologies and platforms
Essential Skills
- Excellent communication abilities with both technical and non-technical users
- Strong documentation and process-oriented mindset
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently and take ownership of specialized support cases
Preferred Qualifications
- CompTIA A+ certification
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in relevant field
- Experience in educational technology environments
