About the Role
We're seeking an experienced QA Engineer to join our team and ensure the delivery of high-quality digital products. You'll work closely with developers, product managers, and designers to establish quality standards, develop testing strategies, and maintain the reliability of our web applications. This is a fully remote position ideal for self-motivated professionals who excel in distributed team environments.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance & Testing
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web applications across multiple browsers and devices
- Perform functional, regression, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing
- Conduct API testing and validate data integrity across system components
- Identify, document, and track bugs through resolution using issue tracking systems
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure testability of new features and adequate test coverage
Automation & Process Improvement
- Develop and maintain automated test suites using modern testing frameworks
- Implement continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) testing practices
- Identify opportunities to improve testing efficiency and reduce manual testing efforts
- Establish and monitor quality metrics and KPIs to track product quality trends
Collaboration & Communication
- Partner with product managers to understand requirements and acceptance criteria
- Participate in sprint planning, design reviews, and retrospectives across time zones
- Provide clear, actionable feedback to developers about defects and quality issues
- Create and maintain testing documentation and knowledge base
Required Qualifications
Experience
- 4-7 years of professional QA engineering experience, with significant focus on web applications
- Proven track record of testing responsive web applications and complex user interfaces
- Experience working in remote/distributed teams
- Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)
- Overlap of at least 3-4 hours with US business hours
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and RESTful APIs
- Proficiency with automated testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar frameworks
- Experience with API testing tools like Postman, REST Assured, or similar
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines
- Working knowledge of SQL and database testing
- Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., Monday.com, BugHerd, etc.)
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies

- Experience validating subscription and paywall pathways (registration, upgrades, churn-prevention, cancellations) and troubleshooting personalization logic (e.g., targeted offers, dynamic content, user-level entitlements)
- Familiarity with SEO and metadata validation (OpenGraph, structured data, RSS/syndication feeds) for publishing workflows
- Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar)
- Familiarity with AI-assisted testing tools and workflows (e.g., using AI for test generation, regression assistance, or log analysis)
- Comfort validating AI-driven features and ensuring quality standards are met (e.g., personalization, recommendations, or generative outputs)
- Familiarity with accessibility testing and WCAG guidelines
- Knowledge of security testing principles and tools
- Experience with mobile web testing and responsive design validation
- Basic programming skills in JavaScript, Python, or Java
- ISTQB certification or other relevant QA certifications
- Experience working with US or European clients
