Job Description
GPU Computing Specialist - CUDA/OptiX Ray Tracing Project
£600/day | Remote | Short-term Contract | Immediate Start
Leading tech company seeks an experienced CUDA/OptiX specialist to complete a critical spatial analysis project. Our previous contractor had to step away due to family circumstances, and we need someone who can hit the ground running.
What You'll Build
A high-performance GPU-accelerated application for spatial visibility analysis across large-scale 3D environments. You'll implement ray tracing algorithms for line-of-sight calculations and deliver results optimised for cloud infrastructure.
Essential Technical Requirements
- CUDA/OptiX programming - NVIDIA's ray tracing frameworks
- 3D computational geometry - voxelization, mesh processing, spatial analysis
- Ray tracing optimisation - performance tuning for GPU architectures
- Mesh file processing (.fbx/.glb formats)
- Triangle intersection algorithms and spatial data structures
The Challenge
- Process complex 3D scenes with optimised performance
- Handle mesh voxelization and geometric processing
- Implement selective geometry processing systems
- Work with coordinate systems and precision requirements
What We Offer
- £600 per day contract rate
- Fully remote with flexible hours
- Well-defined project scope with existing architecture
- Direct collaboration with our CTO and engineering team
- Immediate start available
Ideal Candidate Profile
You're likely a former NVIDIA engineer, graphics programming specialist, or GPU computing expert with battle-tested experience in high-performance ray tracing applications. You thrive on technically challenging projects and can quickly understand existing codebases.
