Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced NOC Tier 3 Engineer to join our growing Secure Operations Centre team. This senior-level role acts as the final technical escalation point for our Tier 1 and Tier 2 teams, supporting a broad portfolio of managed services including network infrastructure, security platforms, and connectivity solutions.
The successful candidate will provide expert-level diagnosis, hands-on troubleshooting, and proactive monitoring of customer environments, while also contributing to automation, service improvement, and mentoring of junior engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the highest-level technical escalation point within the SOC/NOC for all incidents and service requests.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and resolution of issues across managed networks, security, and unified communications platforms.
- Monitor and manage live customer environments using enterprise-grade tools and dashboards.
- Support incident response and RCA processes for critical infrastructure affecting availability, performance, or security.
- Configure and maintain RADIUS services, including Cisco ISE and Aruba ClearPass.
- Maintain and support technologies from leading vendors such as Cisco, Palo Alto, Juniper, Aruba, and Check Point.
- Provide operational support across LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, firewalls, routing & switching, and wireless networks.
- Collaborate with Pre-Sales, Service Transition, and Service Management teams to support new service onboarding and delivery.
- Contribute to process documentation, automation initiatives, and continuous service improvement.
- Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation to support business-critical infrastructure.
Candidate Requirements:
Technical Experience:
- Minimum 5 years in network/security engineering, including experience in a Tier 3 or senior support role.
- Hands-on expertise with networking equipment (routers, switches, firewalls), preferably from Cisco, Palo Alto, Aruba, Juniper, and Check Point.
- Strong working knowledge of RADIUS authentication and security platforms (Cisco ISE, ClearPass).
- Solid understanding of LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, wireless, routing & switching, firewall configuration, and network segmentation (VLANs).
- Comfortable working in Windows and Linux environments.
- Experience with monitoring, automation, and scripting tools is a plus.
Qualifications & Certifications:
- Degree in a relevant IT field or equivalent professional experience.
- Industry certifications (preferred): Cisco CCIE, Aruba CCCP, or equivalent.
- ITIL Foundation certification or experience with ITIL-based environments.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills under pressure.
- Proven ability to mentor junior engineers and guide escalations.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
- Highly organised, self-motivated, and proactive in learning.
- Able to travel to client sites when required.
