Senior Container Lead
The Senior Container Lead will be a key member of a Modern Engineering Platform team, delivering up-to-date delivery practices across Technology, Process and Culture. The Container Lead will be a senior member of a team of five and be responsible for the design, implementation and operational management of multiple OpenShift-based Kubernetes clusters.
The Container Lead will also support the wider agile DevSecOps, automation agenda, working with product teams to reengineer existing software applications over to microservice-orientated architectures.
Container Lead Responsibilities Will Include
Provide thought/technical leadership towards the architectural designs of OpenShift-based Kubernetes clusters and their associated server and network infrastructures.
Ensure architectural designs meet non-functional requirements such as high availability and disaster recovery.
Design and develop CI/CD pipelines for containerized applications.
Provide technical guidance and supervision to members of the Modern Engineering Platform team, concerning the refactoring and migration of existing applications over to OpenShift containers.
Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
Maintain and optimize container orchestration and deployment processes.
Diagnose and resolve issues related to Kubernetes and containerized applications.
Ensure clusters align to client security standards.
Preferred Skillsets
5+ years’ experience of operating Red Hat OpenShift clusters, including ACM, ACS, Quay
Experience with monitoring and logging tools: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack
Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and hybrid cloud solutions
Certifications - Red Hat Certified OpenShift Administrator or Kubernetes Certified Administrator
