The Role
KPMG is currently seeking a Low Code Developer to join our Business Process Automation Team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining applications using low-code development platforms such as Microsoft Power Platform tools and Blue Prism. This role offers an opportunity to work on innovative automation projects while working with a highly supportive team committed to enhance the operational efficiency of KPMG Malta.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Internal Digital Transformation team and business stakeholders (project sponsors, business owners and subject matter experts) to integrate low-code solutions with databases, APIs and existing systems.
Responsibilities
Power Platform Development
- The candidate will be responsible of developing, troubleshooting and maintaining applications, automated workflows and dashboards whilst ensuring data accuracy, security, and adherence to the firm's policies and procedures. The chosen candidate will be collaborating with UI/UX designers to ensure applications are intuitive and meet the user requirements. Moreover, the candidate is expected to provide technical documentation for all developed solutions;
Robotic Process Automation (RPA)
- The candidate will be designing, developing and deploying RPA bots to automate business processes using the Blue Prism low-code development platform or otherwise. The candidate will work closely with the Business Analysts team to identify opportunities for automation or improving workflows;
Team collaboration and Learning
- The candidate is expected to stay updated with emerging trends, best development practices, and low-code technologies.
Requirements
- The candidate shall possess a minimum of 1-3 years-experience in software development with hands-on experience in low-code platforms. Basic knowledge of programming languages such as Python and SQL are a must, while familiarity with REST APIs and database management are preferred. Intermediate experience with Power BI (including DAX, Power Query, and data modelling) is considered an asset. Experience and/or willingness to learn Power Apps and Power Automate for low-code application development and process automation is necessary. Exposure to RPA Tools (such as Blue Prism and UiPath) is preferred, while knowledge of SQL, APIs, scripting languages (e.g. Phyton or JavaScript), and M365 application is considered an asset.
- The ideal candidate should have strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills, A good level of English-speaking skills is desired to effectively communicate with stakeholders and team members. The candidate must have a passion for continuous learning and be adaptable to learn and use new technologies;
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field. Candidates with equivalent experience will also be considered;
- Microsoft certifications in Power BI, Power Apps or Power Automate (preferred but not required);
- Experience in RPA or data visualisation projects are considered an asset.
