Network Engineer in COSTA RICA

My client, based in Costa Rica, are looking for a Network Operations Engineer to join for a 6-month contract (with extension options). This role is fully remote, offering flexibility while contributing to critical network operations.

As a Network Operations Engineer, you'll play a key role in maintaining the uptime and reliability of our network services within both datacenter and office infrastructures. You will manage operations, troubleshoot network issues, and ensure adherence to network service SLAs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage operational tickets related to Cisco ACI, Arista, Routing and Switching technologies.
• Troubleshoot Layer 2 and Layer 3 network issues and implement core protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLAN, etc.).
• Participate in on-call rotations, addressing network alerts and incidents.
• Maintain secure VPN and remote access solutions for datacenter accessibility.
• Follow established SOPs set by the Network Architect for day-to-day operations.
• Provide exceptional troubleshooting expertise and effective ticket management.

Qualifications:

• 5-8 years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on Cisco ACI, Arista, and Routing/Switching technologies.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, HSRP, VRRP, STP, VLAN, etc.
• Familiarity with VPN solutions and network security principles is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Certifications like CCNA or CCNP are desirable.
