About the Role
Halr Tech Group is partnering with an innovative technology-driven client to identify a talented DevOps Engineer for a fully remote position. As a DevOps Engineer, you’ll be responsible for enhancing infrastructure resilience, optimising deployment pipelines, and contributing to the continuous delivery of high-performing applications. You’ll work closely with engineering teams to embed automation at every stage of development, while also leveraging AI tools to improve productivity, observability, and incident response.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build and maintain scalable and secure infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation
- Manage container orchestration and deployments using Docker and Kubernetes
- Develop, monitor and maintain CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments (e.g. GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
- Collaborate with development teams to enable seamless integration and deployment workflows
- Implement and refine observability tooling (monitoring, logging, alerting) to ensure system reliability and uptime
- Utilise AI-driven tooling for automated performance tuning, predictive monitoring, anomaly detection, and efficient incident triage
- Contribute to platform security, compliance, and best practices in cloud-native architecture
- Support the adoption and evolution of DevOps practices across the organisation
Key Requirements
- Proven experience in a DevOps, Site Reliability Engineer, or Platform Engineer role
- Strong knowledge of containerisation technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration at scale
- Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools and infrastructure automation (e.g. GitLab CI, Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible)
- Solid understanding of system and application monitoring using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog or similar
- Familiarity with scripting languages (Bash, Python, or Go)
- Exposure to AI/ML tooling in DevOps (e.g. for predictive monitoring, smart alerting, or automated documentation)
- A collaborative mindset with excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Desirable
- Experience with serverless technologies or microservices architecture
- Familiarity with AI coding assistants (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Tabnine) or AI-enhanced DevOps platforms
- Certification in cloud technologies (AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, etc.)
