Kasagi Labo is acquiring anime IPs and building an AI-powered social platform that connects fans and creators more effectively than traditional methods, automating and enhancing interactions like fan engagement and content creation, and proving so innovative that it’s fostering a global community and redefining anime fandom.

We’ve one of the largest seed rounds in SEA totalling US$20M to build out our vision. The team is small because we can’t hire great people as fast as the company is growing.


About the Job

We are looking for an exceptional Head of HR and Ops to lead our human resources and operational efforts. This critical leadership role will shape our workforce and processes, ensuring they align with Kasagi Labo’s mission to innovate and scale. You’ll oversee HR strategies that attract top talent and foster an inclusive, high-performing culture, while driving operational excellence to support our rapid growth.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute HR strategies that reflect Kasagi Labo’s goals, values, and innovative spirit.
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment, securing top-tier talent in a competitive tech market.
  • Champion employee engagement programs to cultivate a collaborative, forward-thinking workplace.
  • Handle employee relations, including performance management, conflict resolution, and legal compliance.
  • Streamline operational processes, emphasizing automation, efficiency, and resource optimization.
  • Partner with leadership to integrate HR and operational objectives with business strategy, using data-driven insights.
  • Overseeing and streamlining payroll processes across multiple countries, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.


Qualifications

  • 7+ years of combined experience in HR and operations, including 3+ years in a leadership capacity.
  • Proven success scaling HR and operations in a fast-paced, technology-driven setting.
  • Familiarity with AI, machine learning, or HR tech tools and their applications.
  • Proficiency with HR software (e.g., ATS, HRIS) and operational platforms (e.g., automation tools).
  • Outstanding leadership, communication, and collaboration skills across all organizational levels.
  • Ability to manage complex priorities and deliver measurable results.
  • Startup or high-growth company experience is a bonus.


Compensation

  • Base cash comp starting at RM220,000 - RM300,000
  • Generous equity grant
  • A RM20K relocation bonus (if moving to Kuala Lumpur)
