Job Description:
We are looking for a Network Infrastructure Engineer to join our team at F80 Solutions. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be working on diverse network projects for our clients around the world. This position is 100% remote (from Serbia), giving you the flexibility to work from anywhere while contributing to global projects.
You will be expected to work on complex network infrastructure, including design, implementation, optimization, and troubleshooting. This role requires hands-on experience with a wide range of Cisco technologies and other related products. You will work closely with other engineers to deliver high-quality solutions, ensuring they meet client needs and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
To excel in this role, candidates should possess:
- Cisco CCNP certification preferred or equivalent knowledge
- Proficiency in English and Serbian (both written and verbal)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Network Engineering roles
- Experience in delivering projects from planning through to execution and troubleshooting.
- Previous experience in a global corporation with strong change management process is advantageous.
Mandatory Skills:
The candidate must have experience with the following technologies/products at an fully-proficient level. You should be capable of building new solutions, migrating from older models, and troubleshooting with minimal or no guidance.
- Routing/Switching protocols and technologies: EIGRP, BGP, Route Redistribution, PBR, NAT, DMVPN, GRE, IP SLA, HSRP, VRF, STP, VLAN, StackWise/vPC, LACP, SPAN, PortSecurity, 802.1x
- Migrating Cisco Catalyst Switches (from older models to 9k series) or building new
- Migrating Cisco Nexus Switches (from N3k/N5k/N7k to N9K series) or building new
- Migrating Cisco Routers (from ASR/ISR to 8k series) or building new
- Meraki Switching/Wireless - MS/MR building from scratch
The next skillset is also mandatory but on Intermediate Skill Level. These skills involve modifying existing systems on operational level and performing patching, and upgrades. You should be able to handle these tasks at an intermediate level but may not be confident to build from scratch.
- Cisco WLC 9800 Catalyst – Add/remove/modify: AP, WLAN, Interface, Policies. Perform software and patch upgrades
- Cisco FTD via FMC – Add/remove/modify: Rules, Objects, Zones, NAT, IPS, Device Management, Platform Settings, Perform software and patch upgrades
- Rolling out SD-WAN (Cisco Viptela, transitioning from MPLS or Internet to SD-WAN) – Assigning templates to SD-WAN cEdge routers, modifying policies.
- Cisco ISE: Add/remove/modify devices, locations, troubleshooting existing policies for 802.1X and RADIUS/TACACS device management
Nice-to-Have Skills:
Proficiency in additional areas will be advantageous and may result in a higher salary. These skills are not mandatory but will enhance your value to the team:
- Automating networks using Python, REST API, and Ansible
- Cisco DNA Center
- Deploying new Cisco ISE rollouts for 802.1x (wireless & wired) and RADIUS/TACACS device management.
- SD-WAN Cisco Viptela / Meraki building from scratch
- Migrating from Cisco ASA to FTD (FMC)
- Migrating Cisco WLC 5k AirOS to 9800 WLC
- DC Technologies; VXLAN, Cisco ACI, Vmware NSX, Juniper Apstra, F5
- Cloud Networking: AWS, Azure, GCP
- Experience with other Network vendors: Aruba, Juniper, Fortinet, Arista
- Experience with other Firewall vendors: Fortinet, Palo Alto, SonicWALL
- Experience with other SD-WAN solutions: Fortinet, Velocloud, Palo Alto
- Performing Vulnerability Assessments and Pentesting
