Our client, based in Timisoara, Romania, is seeking highly skilled Electrical/Automation Engineer to join our team specializing in the supply and sale of technical solutions, focusing on electrical panels and automations.
Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be responsible for crafting technical-economic offers based on client-provided projects or by conceptualizing your own solutions when projects are not available. Additionally, you will be tasked with proposing modifications to existing projects, supported by meticulously prepared drawings at the concept level and technical data sheets for alternative materials and equipment.
- Design and implement automation system architecture according to customer specifications.
- Possess expertise in SCADA, PLC, OPC, MQTT Broker technology,
- Continuous/Batch Historians, and DCS Based control systems, including network topology concepts.
- Implement, configure, and troubleshoot IOT platforms.
- Stay abreast of current and future trends and models in the industry.
- Demonstrate proficiency in both hardware and software aspects.
- Aid in controls & automation design for projects.
- Develop, test, and install high-quality control software code (e.g., SCADA/PC/HMI).
- Conduct testing of control panels and automation, including Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and Site Acceptance Test (SAT).
- Provide technical support and make informed decisions on hardware and architecture selections.
- Support product platforms by delivering qualified systems.
- Exhibit advanced attention to detail, sensitivity to version control issues, and the ability to anticipate problems.
- Maintain awareness of Industry 4.0 technologies and continually advance and develop Edge technologies.
- Perform front-end and deep dives with clients including areas of consulting, deployment and integration strategies.
Job Requirements:
- BSc/MSc, or BEng/MEng in Electrical or Electronic or Mechatronic Engineering.
- Ignition Certification will be beneficial.
- 5 years’ experience in a similar client-facing role in industrial automation, including working with electrical schematics and sizing automation hardware configurations.
- Proficiency in STL and/or Ladder programming.
- Advanced knowledge of TIA Portal, Step 7 Classic programming applications, Scada WinCC 7.4/7.5, and Siemens HMI configuration.
- Familiarity with networking and data communications in an industrial environment.
- Strong attention to detail, essential for managing complex automation processes.
Preferred, but not required:
- Familiarity with Schneider/Phoenix Contact/Beckhoff programming applications.
- Knowledge of KNX protocol and experience with ETS5.
- Background in data networks (Cisco, servers, routers, etc.).
- Proficiency in working with databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
- Experience with WinCC Flexible, Step 7 Microwin.
- Proficiency in German.
Trial Work Period:
For candidates demonstrating a promising match, the client offers an initial three- month trial work period which may be conducted remotely. This is to establish fit between the individual and the company before relocation is considered. Following successful completion of the trial / probation period, permanent relocation will follow while the necessary work permits are obtained, and logistics finalised. On Offer:
- Salary: RON 12-15k, 13th cheque paid in two instalments: half in May and half in December, proportional to the months worked.
- Food Allowance: €6/day for daily expenses within the city. When traveling for work, allowance varies from €15–€50/day based on the country.
- Car Usage: Provided for work-related travel and available for personal use on weekends (weekend fuel costs not covered).
- Accommodation: Single room or shared apartment included. If arranging own accommodation, company pays up to half the calculated cost.
- Health Insurance: Private insurance covering routine checks and common health needs, alongside state insurance as per the law.
- Leave: 21 annual leave days + 14 national holidays.
- Relocation Costs: Return home flights covered once every two years.
