Position Summary

CMVAS Group is actively recruiting a visionary and technically adept individual for the critical role of Network Architect & Automation Specialist. The successful candidate will lead our network architecture strategy and automation initiatives. Key responsibilities include designing scalable network solutions, implementing automation frameworks, developing data visualization tools, and driving predictive analytics to optimize network performance.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Architect and design comprehensive network infrastructure strategies for WISP environments
• Create and implement network standards, protocols, and best practices
• Develop automation frameworks to streamline network provisioning, management, and troubleshooting
• Design and implement data pipelines for network telemetry and performance metrics
• Create custom web dashboards and visualization tools for network monitoring and analysis
• Integrate ML/AI technologies for predictive network analysis and optimization
• Lead API integration projects to connect disparate systems and enable data flow
• Implement advanced monitoring and alerting systems with automated remediation
• Design network security architecture and implement security controls
• Mentor team members on network automation and programmability
• Document network architecture, automation processes, and data flows

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science highly preferred
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in network engineering
• Extensive knowledge of WISP technologies including MikroTik and Ubiquiti
• Demonstrated expertise in network automation using Python and related network programmability frameworks (eg. Netmiko, NAPALM, Nornir, Ansible, Paramiko)
• Experience with BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and other routing protocols in service provider environments
• Strong programming skills with proficiency in Python and familiarity with JavaScript
• Experience with API development, integration, and management
• Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Grafana, Kibana, Power BI)
• Familiarity with ML/AI concepts for network optimization (desired)
• Experience with container technologies and microservices architecture
• Proven track record of implementing successful network automation solutions
• Excellent communication skills to translate technical concepts to various stakeholders
• Relevant certifications (e.g., MTCINE, CCNP/CCIE, network automation certifications)
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively
• Willing to travel to office locations in Australia occasionally

• Competitive salary $140,000 - $180,000 DoE.
