Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Information Technology System and Network Administrator to join our fully remote team. You will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving our IT infrastructure, providing technical support, and ensuring system security. This position requires mandatory fluency in both English and German and the ability to work from 08:00 - 17:00 Swiss time.
Responsibilities
• Manage and maintain IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and cloud environments.
• Provide technical support for software, hardware, and network issues.
• Install, configure, and upgrade system components, ensuring high availability.
• Monitor system performance and implement security measures.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex IT problems.
• Automate system administration tasks using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Configure and maintain network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs).
• Manage user access, Active Directory, and Group Policies.
• Document IT procedures and solutions for internal use.
• Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging technologies.
Requirements
• Minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience in IT system and network administration.
• Expertise in Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), Active Directory, and Group Policies.
• Strong knowledge of networking, security, and virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V, or cloud solutions).
• Experience with Office 365, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and firewalls.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for software, hardware, and networking issues.
• Scripting and automation skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Mandatory fluency in both English and German (spoken and written).
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a remote team.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
Nice to Have
• Experience with Linux administration.
• Advanced network security knowledge.
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
