Network Engineer in AMSTERDAM AREA

One of our world leading High Frequency trading clients in Amsterdam is searching for Network Engineers from outside of industry to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for Network and Network Security Engineers to get into the trading world and establish a high earning career!

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy and maintain network infrastructure, including managing the upscaling and expansion of the existing networks.
• Troubleshoot and identify optimisations.
• Assist with maintenance and migrations.
• Design and architect automations within the network infrastructure, especially for mundane tasks.
• Plan and maintain capacity planning and flow optimisation.
• Undertake an overhaul of technical debt, while identifying new solutions before debt arises in future.
• Rebuilding the firm's LAN network.
• Designing a new Data Centre Network.

Requirements

• Strong design and architecture experience.
• Strong Python scripting, especially for scripting automations.
• TCP/IP experience.
• Multicast / Spanning Tree Experience.
• Collaborative individual with a desire to learn from others as much as impart own knowledge.
• Experience with Low Latency and Latency reduction projects.
