As a Security Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in safeguarding our Azure cloud infrastructure and Microsoft 365 ecosystem, proactively defending our company and customers from cyber threats. You’ll work autonomously while collaborating closely with the Cloud Platform Lead and Director of Engineering to embed security best practices into our DevOps lifecycle.
What You’ll Do
🔹 Security & Compliance
Deploy, configure, and manage security solutions in Microsoft 365 & Azure (Defender, Purview, Intune, etc.).
Configure, monitor, and enforce Microsoft Entra ID security policies, ensuring compliance with access controls & authentication requirements.
Embed best practice security processes across Microsoft 365 and Azure DevOps.
Oversee GitHub Advanced Security & DevSecOps tooling policy compliance, ensuring development teams adhere to security standards.
Support compliance initiatives, audit processes, and security posture improvement.
🔹 Threat Assessment & Risk Management
Conduct security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and mitigate threats.
Automate security processes and integrate continuous monitoring for improved risk visibility.
Monitor and respond to security alerts from Microsoft Defender, Intune, WAF, and CDN.
Track, investigate, and resolve internal IT security risks, ensuring proactive cybersecurity measures.
Coordinate patch management to address vulnerabilities based on risk severity.
🔹 Access Management
Manage user access controls, provisioning, deprovisioning, and auditing permissions.
Secure internal IT assets and ensure endpoint security for all staff devices.
🔹 Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with cross-functional teams (Development, QA, Product) to align DevSecOps solutions with business objectives.
Assist in responding to cybersecurity audits and compliance questionnaires.
Share knowledge and set the standard for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & privileged identity management (PIM).
🔹 Continuous Learning & Improvement
Stay ahead of emerging cybersecurity threats and industry best practices.
Proactively implement new security measures and risk mitigation strategies.
What We’re Looking For
✅ 5+ years of Azure cloud security experience with a strong understanding of Microsoft security solutions.
✅ Expertise in cloud security frameworks & compliance standards (ISO 27001, PCI DSS, etc.).
✅ Experience implementing security best practices in DevOps environments (secret management, pipeline security, API security).
✅ Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and self-starter mindset.
✅ Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across teams.
