The Head of Enterprise Technology will play a critical role in designing and maintaining our enterprise IT infrastructure, ensuring our employees have the necessary tools and secure systems to perform at the highest level.
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Head of Enterprise Technology to lead the strategy, implementation, and management of our corporate IT infrastructure. Reporting to the CTO, this individual will be responsible for all employee hardware and software, ensuring seamless operations in a fully remote, high-performance financial services firm.
This role involves overseeing enterprise IT, including employee provisioning, vendor management, security, and onboarding. The ideal candidate will have experience managing enterprise IT in a financial services firm, with a strong focus on security, compliance, and operational efficiency in a remote work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise IT & Infrastructure Management
• Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of employee IT provisioning, including laptops, peripherals, and secure access.
• Manage and maintain all enterprise applications (e.g., collaboration tools, email, VPN, endpoint security, remote desktop solutions).
• Ensure high availability and reliability of all IT systems supporting AlgoQuant’s remote workforce.
• Standardize and document processes for IT support and troubleshooting.
Security & Compliance
• Implement and maintain security best practices to protect AlgoQuant’s intellectual property, sensitive data, and trading infrastructure.
• Oversee endpoint security, identity management, access controls, and compliance with industry security standards.
• Conduct periodic security audits, penetration testing, and compliance assessments.
• Ensure secure access to AlgoQuant’s systems in a fully remote environment, minimizing risks associated with distributed teams.
Technology Onboarding & Support
• Lead technology onboarding sessions for all new hires to ensure consistency in IT setup, security protocols, and policy adherence.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for IT-related issues, ensuring efficient troubleshooting and resolution.
• Provide training and guidance on best practices for enterprise tools and security awareness.
Vendor & License Management
• Manage relationships with enterprise software vendors, ensuring the correct number of licenses and compliance with usage agreements.
• Evaluate, procure, and onboard new technology solutions that enhance remote collaboration, security, and efficiency.
• Maintain an inventory of enterprise software and hardware assets, optimizing costs and performance.
Strategic IT Leadership
• Continuously assess and improve the firm’s IT infrastructure to align with business growth and operational needs.
• Research and implement new technologies to enhance remote work efficiency, security, and collaboration.
• Collaborate with AlgoQuant’s leadership to define and execute long-term IT strategies.
Requirements & Qualifications
Must-Have Skills & Experience
• 10+ years of experience in IT leadership, enterprise technology, or related fields within financial services, fintech, or high-performance technology firms.
• Proven experience managing enterprise IT for a fully remote or highly distributed workforce.
• Expertise in cybersecurity, identity and access management (IAM), endpoint protection, and remote security best practices.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise SaaS applications, collaboration tools, and cloud environments (e.g., Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Slack, Zoom, VPN solutions).
• Hands-on experience with device provisioning, IT asset management, and enterprise IT support.
• Experience working with technology onboarding, user training, and IT policy enforcement.
• Strong vendor management skills, including contract negotiations, licensing, and procurement.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate IT policies and procedures.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, and other collaboration tools used for workflow management and documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience managing IT in a highly regulated financial services firm.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or ITIL.
• Experience with Zero Trust security models and cloud-based remote IT infrastructure.
• Familiarity with enterprise automation tools, MDM (Mobile Device Management), and SSO (Single Sign-On) solutions.
