The IT Release Management team plays an important role in ensuring the smooth delivery of new software versions and updates within Hapag-Lloyd’s IT systems. By managing the entire release process for our core Freight Information System (FIS), the team ensures that system enhancements are deployed efficiently and in alignment with business needs. Focused on maintaining high-quality standards and minimizing risks, the Release Management team collaborates closely with various stakeholders and continuously seeks opportunities to improve processes and optimize release management.
- Manage FIS releases (contribute to planning/scheduling/preparing/coordinating go-lives).
- Oversee build and deployment processes in Jenkins.
- Facilitate communication between the team and various stakeholders (Business/IT/Management).
- Oversee the delivery of application versions and their inter-dependencies in different environments / stages.
- Prepare and coordinate installation of releases to multiple environments.
- Analyze and manage risks of releases.
- Automate tasks and processes related to Release Management and our stakeholders.
- Act as a point of contact and escalation for various stakeholders.
Qualifications - Proven work in a similar position.
- Experience in working with ITIL and Agile methodologies.
- A team player with good communications and coordination skills.
- Experience in Jira and Confluence.
- High proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Excellent analytical skills and eagerness to learn.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Willingness to work on selected weekends.
Nice to have: - Experience in CI/CD (Jenkins, GitLab, UCD or similar).
- Experience within Java/Groovy/Python.
