Smart Hire is seeking a Radar Engineer for our client in Kuwait with Lockheed Martin Systems Expertise.


Position Title: Radar Engineer

Location: Kuwait

Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary Band (per month): 3000 – 3500 KWD (approximately 9332 – 10887 EUR/Netto)

Industry: Aerospace / Defense / Military Technology

About the Role


Smart Hire’s client, a leading company in defense and aerospace technologies, is seeking an experienced Radar Engineer to join their team in Kuwait. This key role requires 10 – 15 years of experience working with Lockheed Martin radar systems (FPS-117, TPS-59, TPS-77), providing system administration, operations, maintenance, and software lifecycle management. The Radar Engineer will support mission-critical surveillance and defense operations to ensure the performance and reliability of advanced radar systems in dynamic environments.

Key Responsibilities


As a Radar Engineer, your role will include:

Operations Support & System Administration

  • Administer and monitor Lockheed Martin radar systems to ensure operational readiness.
  • Troubleshoot performance issues and implement solutions for system uptime.
  • Integrate radar systems into existing command and control networks to support situational awareness.

System Maintenance & Technical Diagnostics

  • Perform routine and corrective maintenance on FPS-117, TPS-59, and TPS-77 radar systems.
  • Conduct fault isolation, diagnostics, and repairs to ensure operational reliability.

Software Updates & System Modernization

  • Plan, test, and implement software upgrades to maintain system compatibility.
  • Collaborate with development teams for system enhancements.

Technical Analysis, Reporting & Documentation

  • Analyze system performance metrics and generate technical reports.
  • Maintain detailed system configuration, operation, and maintenance documentation.

Training & Technical Support

  • Mentor military personnel and operators on system operations and maintenance.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for Lockheed Martin radar systems.


Qualifications & Experience

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Professional Experience:

  • 10-15 years of experience in radar system operations, maintenance, and support.
  • Expertise in Lockheed Martin Radar Systems, especially FPS-117, TPS-59, and TPS-77.

Core Skills & Expertise:

  • System diagnostics, operations support, and technical maintenance.
  • Experience with system administration and software patch updates.
  • Knowledge of network communications and radar system integration protocols.
  • Fault analysis and preventive maintenance strategies.
  • Familiarity with military surveillance standards and operations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical certifications in radar systems or system lifecycle management.
  • Military technical qualifications or experience in system deployment.
