JSG is hiring an IT System Administrator in Madawaska, ME. Relocation Available!

Salary range depends on the experience - $70K-$90K
Skills:
- Lead desktop and helpdesk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions
- Provide I.T. related operational support to diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues including, but not limited to Server Infrastructure (Virtual/Physical), desktops, laptops, network switches, desk & cell phones, VPN, printers and other miscellaneous IT related equipment
- Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues
- Responsible for server/SAN capacity and storage planning
- Perform or delegate regular server backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures
- Procure, Track/ Maintain I.T. software and hardware
- Develop and maintain end user training
- Provide operational support for client devices including installation, image, configuration of applications and end point protection
- Support operation and deployment of cybersecurity controls
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required
- 3-5 years of database, network administration, or system administration experience
- Working knowledge of fundamental operations of relevant software, hardware and other equipment (Windows 7/8/10, Dell systems, IBM Client Access, etc.)
- Basic knowledge of fundamental network design and operation including DNS, subnets, TCP/IP, IPv4 and IPv6., networked systems (network printing, firewalls, file security, unmanaged)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft applications (Office, Visio, Excel, etc.)
- Industry Certifications such as A+, Network+ or MCP, CCENT or AWS Certifications Preferable.
