With a unique approach, the company combines expert coordination and offers additional services that exceed the typical scope of traditional design consulting


Role Overview:

We are seeking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our team, responsible for handling a variety of technical tasks related to mechanical systems in construction projects. The ideal candidate will be involved in heat load calculations, ductwork sizing, and the creation of 2D and 3D layouts for mechanical systems. This role also includes creating detailed schedules and schematics for the mechanical aspects of projects. The position requires someone who is adaptable and willing to work under employee records, which may include tax deductions based on the state. As part of a dynamic team, you will play a key role in ensuring mechanical systems are effectively integrated into the overall design and construction process. The role requires attention to detail, technical expertise, and a collaborative approach to working with other departments.


Key Responsibilties:

Heat Load Calculations:

  • Conduct heat load calculations to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency of HVAC systems

Ductwork Sizing:

  • Perform calculations and assessments for ductwork sizing to meet system requirements.

2D/3D Layouts:

  • Create accurate 2D and 3D layouts for mechanical systems, ensuring that designs align with project specifications and standards.

Schedules/Schematics:

  • Develop schedules and schematics to illustrate system layouts, components, and operation timelines.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with other engineers, designers, and construction teams to ensure mechanical systems are integrated seamlessly into the overall project

Documentation:

  • Prepare and maintain clear documentation, including design reports, schematics, and project timelines

Compliance and Standards:

  • Ensure that all designs adhere to industry standards, local building codes, and safety regulations


Requirements:

  • Experience in heat load calculations, ductwork sizing, and mechanical system design.
  • Proficiency in CAD software for creating 2D and 3D layouts (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and mechanical design principles.
  • Ability to design and select fans and DX systems.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and local building codes.
  • Has experience working with Australian companies in a similar role.
  • Ability to create accurate and detailed schematics and schedules.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to be contracted under an Employer of Record agency hired by the client.
