We are looking for an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to join our team and work on exciting projects in eSports, Al, and Blockchain for Japanese startups. If you're passionate about backend development and meet the criteria below, we'd love to hear from you!
###Job Description
**As part of our product team, you'll:**
• Drive forward API development for our products.
• Support and extend core platform infrastructure.
• Implement back-end components and design new web services.
• Create unit and integration tests to ensure quality.
**Scouting Criteria (Must Have):**
• 5+ years of working experience as a Backend Engineer (internship experience not included).
• 1+ years of experience as a Senior, Lead, or Principal Software Engineer at companies such as Traveloka, Tokopedia, Gojek, Bukalapak, Grab, Blibli, Shopee, Tiket.com, Garena, OVO, DANA, or Ajaib.
• Proficiency in Go programming language.
• High English proficiency.
• Ability to commit 20+ hours per week.
• Must be Indonesian citizens living in Indonesia.
**Please Note:**
• Candidates commuting to the office 3+ times per week or those requiring over 2 hours of commuting will not be considered.
• Candidates with experience solely as Software Engineers (not Senior level or above) will not qualify.
**Working Conditions:**
• Fully Remote.
• Hourly Rate: 1,600 JPY - 2,200 JPY.
• Example monthly earnings:
20 hours/week = 128,000 176,000 JPY
40 hours/week = 256,000 352,000 JPY
• Payments via wise.com (based on assigned project hours).
**Required Skills:**
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP, and encryption algorithms.
• Proficiency in Go and container-based development.
• Familiarity with testing/debugging tools and maintaining unit/integration tests.
• Basic knowledge of security and system performance optimization.
**Bonus if you have:*
• Experience with Python, TypeScript, or cloud databases/services (e.g., Firestore, AWS, GCP).
• Contributions to OSS communities or large-scale web service development.
