Prerequisites:
Minimum of 7 years of experience in network infrastructure or a similar role
Proficient in networking technologies, protocols, and architecture (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, BGP, etc.)
Design, implement, and maintain network architecture to support organizational growth and operational efficiency.
Define and enforce networking standards and best practices, ensuring adherence across the team.
Collaborate with various teams (Development, Security, Operations) to design and deploy secure, high-performance network solutions.
Troubleshoot and resolve network issues to ensure minimal disruption and high reliability.
Monitor network performance, optimize traffic flow, and ensure proactive identification and resolution of potential problems.
Ensure security of the network by implementing best practices, including firewall rules, VPN configurations, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
Lead the investigation of network-related production issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
Contribute to network automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) initiatives.
Required skills:
Expertise in network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, DNS, DHCP, etc.)
Advanced proficiency in configuring and managing routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs
Solid experience with cloud networking, especially within AWS or similar cloud platforms
Familiarity with network automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or similar
Strong understanding of network monitoring and diagnostic tools (e.g., Wireshark, Nagios, SolarWinds)
Expertise in managing network security standards (firewalls, VPNs, IPS/IDS, etc.)
Solid knowledge of scripting (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation and troubleshooting
Experience with AWS networking services (VPC, Direct Connect, Route 53, etc.) or other cloud platforms
Experience in high-availability networking solutions, load balancing, and failover configurations
Knowledge of best practices for network architecture, disaster recovery, and redundancy
Excellent troubleshooting skills in complex network environments
Soft skills:
Independent, self-driven, with a proactive problem-solving mindset
Excellent communication skills in English for cross-functional collaboration
Experience in working with international teams, especially in a remote or hybrid environment
Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, or similar collaboration tools is a plus
