Senior IT Engineer in UNITED KINGDOM

We are looking for a skilled and proactive IT Engineer to join a prestigious law firm on a fully remote basis. This role requires a professional with at least 5 years of experience in IT support, specifically with strong technical knowledge of Microsoft technologies and extensive experience managing mailbox migrations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide remote IT support to the law firm’s staff, ensuring systems operate efficiently and securely.
• Manage and execute mailbox migrations, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
• Administer and maintain the Microsoft tech stack, including Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server, and Active Directory.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to software, hardware, and networking.
• Assist in the implementation and maintenance of security protocols to protect sensitive legal data.
• Collaborate with internal teams and third-party providers to ensure seamless IT operations.
• Provide guidance and training to staff on IT systems and best practices.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in IT support or engineering roles.
• Strong expertise in the Microsoft tech stack, including Microsoft 365, Exchange, Azure, Windows Server, and Active Directory.
• Proven experience in mailbox migrations within a professional environment.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently to resolve technical issues.
• Familiarity with the IT requirements and challenges specific to the legal sector (desirable).
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
