About the Job:

LuunaX is seeking a talented Data Engineer to join our forward-thinking team and play a pivotal role in developing and optimizing data solutions for modern analytics systems. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge projects that integrate data engineering, cloud-based technologies, and CI/CD pipelines.

As a Data Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering innovative, robust, and scalable data solutions. You will collaborate with internal teams and client IT/business teams across all phases of the data lifecycle, from planning and design to implementation and testing. You will contribute to building new data pipelines, optimizing existing systems, and designing solutions for modern data services and analytics platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain scalable batch and stream data pipelines, automating workflows for efficient data ingestion and processing.
  • Operate, upgrade, and test data platforms, ensuring security, reliability, and performance in collaboration with the infrastructure team.
  • Implement measures to guarantee the accuracy, consistency, and security of data, while monitoring pipeline performance and system health.
  • Define data models and solutions to meet business needs, providing technical support and guidance to data consumers.
  • Diagnose and resolve data platform issues, optimize performance, and document pipelines and workflows for maintainability.
  • Design data models and create dashboards in tools like Power BI to support reporting and analytics requirements.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
  • Expertise with one of the following programming languages: SQL or Python.
  • Experience with cloud platforms and their data analytics services, including AWS (Redshift, EMR, S3) and Azure (Data Factory, Power BI Service).
  • Proficiency in data processing frameworks like Flink or Spark.
  • Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
  • Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and software testing.
  • Ability to use Power BI for data analytics and visualization.
  • Experience managing data platforms with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) is a strong merit.
  • Good at teamwork, with a collaborative and proactive approach.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Databricks for data engineering workflows.
  • Working knowledge of modern big data technologies and a strong desire to learn new tools and technologies.
  • Understanding of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of machine learning pipelines and data preparation for AI/ML workflows.
