About the Role

Roar Apex is looking for a talented Chief Technical Officer to join a Technology company in the Waste Management Space. You will be responsible for building our comparison platform from the ground up, making key technical decisions, and eventually leading a team of developers.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop our comparison platform, focusing on both front-end and back-end components
• Make critical technology stack decisions and architect scalable solutions
• Implement best practices for software development, testing, and deployment
• Manage all aspects of our technical infrastructure, including cloud services and DevOps
• Collaborate closely with the founding team to align technology strategy with business goals
• Recruit and mentor future team members as the company grows
• Engage with stakeholders, including customers and investors, to gather requirements and present technical solutions

Requirements

• Proven experience as a full-stack developer with a strong portfolio of projects
• Previous experience in a founding team, Tech Lead, or CTO role at a startup
• Experience building comparison platforms or similar marketplace solutions
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and lean startup principles
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work autonomously
• Excellent communication skills, both technical and non-technical

Preferred Experience

• Prior work experience at Fortune 500 companies or funded startups
• Track record of successful product delivery in fast-paced environments
• Experience with multiple programming languages and frameworks
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and DevOps practices
• Understanding of database design, API development, and system architecture
