We’re seeking a passionate DevSecOps/Cloud Security Engineer with deep expertise in AWS and a strong background in securing cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect, implement and maintain robust security controls across AWS environments.
- Proactively identify, assess, and remediate security vulnerabilities in AWS cloud services.
- Design and enforce security best practices for Identity and Access Management (IAM), CloudTrail, and Key Management Service (KMS).
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines using DevSecOps methodologies.
- Monitor and respond to security incidents, leveraging tools such as AWS Security Hub, GuardDuty, and other AWS-native security services.
- Drive compliance with industry standards and frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, or SOC 2) in cloud environments.
- Educate and mentor internal teams on AWS security and DevSecOps best practices.
- Contribute to threat modeling, risk assessments, and the creation of secure architecture patterns.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Proven hands-on experience in securing AWS services across diverse environments.
- In-depth knowledge of AWS security services, specifically IAM, CloudTrail, and KMS.
- Strong expertise in DevSecOps principles and tools, with the ability to automate security practices within CI/CD pipelines.
- Practical experience with a wide array of AWS services, including but not limited to EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and ECS.
- Proficiency in scripting or programming languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation and tooling.
- Experience with container security and orchestration platforms like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Solid understanding of network security concepts, including firewalls, VPNs, and VPC security.
- Strong focus on cloud security specifically for AWS, with extensive coverage of AWS services.
- Relevant experience with AWS security services including IAM, CloudTrail, and KMS.
Preferred Qualifications:
- AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Security - Specialty or AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
- Experience with advanced threat detection and incident response in cloud environments.
- Knowledge of security scanning tools (e.g., Snyk, Checkmarx, or Trivy).
- Background in security auditing and compliance in AWS environments.
Additional Requirements:
- Long-term engagement, 100% remote, and available ASAP.
- Rate: 280-300 EUR/day
We are looking for DevSecOps or Security Operations engineers with direct, hands-on experience in securing AWS services. Regular DevOps engineers whose work has only partially focused on security or merely adopted best practices will not meet the criteria for this role. Candidates must demonstrate a strong focus on cloud security, specifically within AWS, and possess significant experience with AWS security services including IAM, CloudTrail, and KMS. Strong DevSecOps knowledge is a must.
