Our client in Dallas, TX is looking to hire a Senior Network Engineer.
This is a fully remote role.
This is a full-time position and not open to contract or C@C candidates.
Position Overview:
The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for the architecture, design, deployment, maintenance, and support of networking technologies across the Firm’s on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments. This role requires a technical leader with expertise in LAN, WAN, WLAN, VoIP, firewalls, converged fabrics, load balancing, and network optimization. The Senior Network Engineer will work closely with other teams to ensure high availability, security, and scalability of network services, while integrating complex business applications across Azure public cloud and third-party infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Architecture & Design:
- Define and implement IT architecture standards, policies, and best practices.
- Design and deploy network solutions that meet business and IT needs while ensuring scalability, security, and availability.
- Develop modernization roadmaps for cloud and hybrid environments, with a focus on Azure connectivity.
Network Operations:
- Manage and support network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Act as a subject matter expert on local and cloud-based networking solutions.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting for complex network issues and serve as an escalation point.
- Work with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions aligned with business requirements.
- Collaborate with vendors for support and root cause analysis.
Documentation & Compliance:
- Maintain detailed documentation for network infrastructure, configurations, and change requests.
- Participate in change management processes, ensuring consistency with industry best practices.
- Assist with disaster recovery planning and execution.
Project Management & Leadership:
- Lead and manage IT network projects, aligning with business priorities.
- Plan and facilitate project meetings, providing status updates to leadership.
- Provide technical mentorship and cross-training to team members.
- Continuously research emerging technologies and recommend process improvements.
Customer & Team Interaction:
- Maintain a professional, customer-focused demeanor while resolving technical issues.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including end-users, IT teams, and senior executives.
- Participate in after-hours support as needed to ensure global service availability.

Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in network architecture, deployment, and troubleshooting.
- Advanced knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, QoS, VLANs, IPSec).
- Extensive experience with Cisco routers, switches, wireless controllers, and firewalls.
- Expertise in VoIP systems and collaboration platforms (Microsoft Teams, Zoom, WebEx).
- Experience with SD-WAN, packet analysis, and cloud-based networking (Azure).
- Cisco or Fortinet certifications (required).
- Proven ability to lead complex projects and deliver technical solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous learning.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Fortinet infrastructure and Azure network configurations.
- Familiarity with enterprise applications in legal or professional services (e.g., iManage, Intapp).
- PMP certification.
- Experience with disaster recovery planning and execution.
