Role / Title: Quality Improvement Data Analyst
Location: Atlanta, GA- 100% remote
Duration: Fulltime Permanent
Pay: $80k- $95k a year
A Brief Overview:
The Quality Improvement Data Consultant is responsible for harnessing data insights to enhance patient care quality, operational efficiency, and safety across the healthcare system. This role combines expertise in data analysis, quality improvement, and stakeholder collaboration to drive impactful, data-driven strategies that improve clinical outcomes. Working closely with clinical, administrative, and IT teams, the consultant will collect, analyze, and interpret diverse data sets, using advanced statistical methodologies and visualization tools to inform decision-making and support quality initiatives
What you will do
- Data Analysis, Monitoring, and Reporting
Data Analysis
- Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive business decisions.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis to uncover opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies.
- Develop predictive models and data visualizations to forecast outcomes and support strategic planning.
Monitoring
- Design and implement systems for continuous monitoring of key metrics and performance indicators.
- Regularly assess data accuracy, integrity, and consistency, addressing discrepancies as needed.
- Identify and escalate anomalies or emerging trends in data that require further investigation.
Reporting
- Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations that communicate data insights effectively to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to customize reporting solutions based on business needs.
- Ensure timely delivery of scheduled and ad hoc reports, aligning with organizational goals.
Quality Improvement
- Develop and implement data quality standards, policies, and best practices to ensure consistent and reliable outputs.
- Conduct root-cause analysis for recurring data issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Implement quality control measures and audit processes to validate data accuracy and compliance with organizational requirements.
- Provide training and documentation to promote a culture of data quality awareness across teams.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Engage with business units, technical teams, and leadership to understand analytic needs and prioritize initiatives.
- Work with end users to convert technical concepts into actionable insights and requirements.
- Facilitate regular communication to align data solutions with business objectives and resolve challenges effectively.
- Build and maintain strong relationships to foster a collaborative environment for data-driven decision-making. 20%
Data Governance
- Support the development and implementation of data governance frameworks, policies, and processes.
- Ensure compliance with data security, privacy, and regulatory requirements across all reporting and analysis activities.
- Monitor data lifecycle processes to maintain integrity and minimize risk throughout data collection, storage, and use.
- Collaborate with IT and data management teams to enforce standards for data stewardship and accountability. 15%
- Research and Development
- Stay up-to-date with the latest tools, technologies, and trends in data analytics and visualization.
- Experiment with new methodologies and techniques to improve data analysis and reporting capabilities.
- Develop proof-of-concept projects to evaluate the potential impact of emerging data tools and frameworks.
- Recommend and implement innovative solutions to streamline processes and enhance organizational data literacy. 15%
Qualifications
- Bachelors Computer Science Required or
- Bachelors Information Security Required or
- Bachelors Computer and Information Science Required
- Minimum 2 years Clinical Analysis Required
- Minimum 2 years Experience in Healthcare setting Preferred
- Minimum 2 years Clinical Data Preferred
