Job Title: Web Application Engineer

Location: Tokyo (Full Remote Available)

Annual Salary: ¥5,500,000–¥8,500,000


Job Description:


A fast-growing startup founded in 2016, specializing in innovative HRTech solutions for part-time workforce management. Their flagship product, a scheduling system for part-time employees, has been adopted in over 12,000 business locations across industries like food, leisure, and amusement. The company emphasizes technology-driven efficiency, aiming to eliminate workplace inefficiencies and enhance individual productivity.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhance runtime performance at database, Ruby code, and browser levels.
  • Contribute to scalable backend development using Ruby on Rails or Node.js.
  • Support frontend development with Vue.js or React.
  • Collaborate on sprint-based development cycles using GitHub, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Optimize shift scheduling and management systems with technologies like Rust and TypeScript.


Tech Stack:

  • Backend: Ruby on Rails, Node.js, Python
  • Frontend: Vue.js, React, TypeScript
  • Infrastructure: GCP, Kubernetes, Docker
  • Data: MySQL, BigQuery, CloudSQL


Qualifications:

Must Have:

  • 3+ years of multi-layer web application development experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails or Node.js.
  • Practical knowledge of MySQL and Git.
  • Experience in developing B2B or B2C products.
  • JLPT N2 or higher proficiency in Japanese.


Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Vue.js, React, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, or Linux.
  • Knowledge of Python 3, SQLAlchemy, or ASGI.
