As a Senior Platform engineer, you will expand and maintain our client’s cloud infrastructure and Continuous Delivery processes consisting of web applications, APIs, iOS, and Android apps. They are a young company focused on continuously delivery of high-quality solutions to the healthcare market. The ideal candidate would have extensive experience with AWS products and CI/CD platforms.


This is a high impact position where you will mentor and educate developers to take on ownership of the infrastructure their systems are running on and work closely with the leadership team to improve the infrastructure, helping the company to further develop their Devops Culture.

Responsibilities:


  • Maintain and optimize CI/CD pipeline for APIs, web dashboard and native apps
  • Maintain and optimize AWS infrastructure, and update it when required using Infrastructure as Code
  • Own the observability, monitoring and alerting of their services and infrastructure
  • Mentor and educate developers to take on ownership of the infrastructure their systems are running on
  • Closely collaborate with developers and quality assurance engineers using agile methodologies
  • Understand the automated testing strategy and ensure they run efficiently as part of our deployment pipeline
  • Maintain the local and remote device library
  • Proactively contribute ideas to improve the infrastructure


Your experience:


  • Experience with AWS products, particularly: ECS, RDS, IAM, VPC & S3
  • Experience managing containers in production
  • Experience with Infrastructure as code, e.g. terraform
  • Experience of CI/CD tools - ideally GitHub Actions and CircleCI - for building, testing and deploying containers and
  • Fastlane for deploying native apps
  • Experience with monitoring tools (Sentry / Grafana / Prometheus)
  • Experience in one of the following languages: Go, Python, Ruby, JavaScript/Typescript, and be comfortable
  • looking at code in other languages (for debugging).
  • Experience with authentication systems and protocols such as Entra/AD, OIDC, Oauth2, SAML.
  • Experience deploying Apps using App Store and Play Store, including TestFlight and Internal Track
  • Experience with native UI testing, e.g. firebase test lab
  • Understanding of cybersecurity best practices
  • Understanding of: HIPAA compliance, GDPR implications, Disaster recovery
  • Excellent English


Bonus to have


  • Experience maintaining and configuring business intelligence tools (e.g. metabase)
  • Understanding of code quality tools such as linting or unit testing
