What we offer you
As the Head of Development, you will lead a diverse, talented team comprising software developers, agile testers, automation engineers, and DevOps specialists. You will oversee the people and organizational aspects of the development process, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment. Your focus will include stakeholder management, team development, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality software solutions to our core products, which can be rolled out to our customers globally.
What you’ll do
- Foster a collaborative and motivated team environment, driving continuous professional growth and alignment with organizational goals.
- Maintain transparency and accuracy in reporting development progress and delivery to stakeholders.
- Work closely with the product team to align development efforts with business objectives, addressing barriers and ensuring smooth progress.
- Oversee team performance, handle HR responsibilities, and ensure team alignment and engagement.
- Ensure adherence to quality, security, and industry standards across all development activities.
- Drive timely delivery of projects while maintaining high standards of quality and innovation.
- Stay current with technological trends and advancements to inform product design and engineering practices.
- Provide technical guidance, address engineering challenges, and contribute to coding efforts when required.
About You
- Proven management skills with the ability to foster collaboration and inspire a positive mindset within the team.
- Strong decision-making abilities, focused on achieving end goals efficiently.
- Technological proficiency with a software development background, including familiarity with agile development methodologies.
- Expertise in technologies such as .NET, Azure, and tools like Atlassian Suite and MS365.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with experience working closely with product teams.
- A proactive and solution-focused approach to challenges.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage in constructive discussions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 8+ years of experience in software development or engineering, with at least 3 years in a team-lead/manager role.
- Strong knowledge of agile methodologies and experience implementing agile processes within teams.
- Hands-on coding experience with modern programming languages and frameworks.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
- Proven track record of delivering complex software projects on time and to high-quality standards.
- Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
