Position Overview

Our client is seeking a Director of Information Technology (IT) to lead and manage the organization’s technology strategy and operations in a fully remote capacity. The Director of IT will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company’s IT infrastructure, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and driving innovation. This role requires monthly travel to the company’s headquarters for strategic planning and collaboration with the leadership team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the organization’s IT strategy to support business goals and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Oversee IT operations, including infrastructure, security, data management, and application support.
  • Ensure the availability, performance, and security of IT systems and applications.
  • Lead the implementation of new technologies and systems to improve business processes and user experiences.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address technology needs across the organization.
  • Manage IT budgets, ensuring cost-effective technology investments and resource allocation.
  • Establish and enforce IT policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with regulations and best practices.
  • Drive the organization’s cybersecurity strategy to protect data and systems from potential threats.
  • Build and lead a high-performing IT team, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, leveraging insights to maintain a competitive edge.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in IT leadership roles, with a proven track record of managing IT operations and strategy.
  • Expertise in IT infrastructure, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and enterprise systems.
  • Experience with digital transformation initiatives, including the adoption of modern technologies and tools.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to build and mentor a high-performing IT team.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a focus on innovation and efficiency.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a remote work environment while collaborating with global teams.
  • Experience in high-growth or PE-backed environments preferred.
  • Ability to travel monthly to the company’s headquarters for strategic meetings and collaboration.
