Human Resources Business Partner – Unionized Manufacturing Environment in DES MOINES METROPOLITAN AREA

***This role requires 2 days onsite in Des Moines and 3 days onsite in Ottumwa or 5 days onsite in Ottumwa***

Our client, a prominent Fortune 500 beverage manufacturer, is on the lookout for a dynamic and strategic Human Resources Business Partner to join their team in either Ottumwa or Des Moines, IA. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead essential HR initiatives, working in close partnership with plant leadership to drive organizational success. You will navigate the complexities of employee relations and labor relations within a vibrant, unionized environment, ensuring that the workforce is not only engaged but also aligned with the company’s mission and goals. Your expertise will be critical in fostering a positive workplace culture while addressing the unique challenges that arise in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities:

• Provide expert guidance to managers on maximizing team performance in a unionized setting.
• Lead innovative HR projects focused on policy development and enhancement of employee programs.
• Consult on leadership development and employee relations, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Ensure fair and consistent application of organizational policies across all sites.
• Champion talent initiatives that promote employee growth and development.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
• 4-6 years of progressive HR experience in large, matrixed organizations with a Shared Services HR structure.
• Demonstrated experience in unionized manufacturing or distribution environments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
