We're seeking a talented and experienced Engineering Manager (JVM) to lead our engineering teams at Vivid Money. In this leadership role, you will oversee multiple teams, including back-end, mobile, and web development, ensuring they operate efficiently and effectively.
You will play a crucial part in product development, project management, hiring, and fostering innovation within the teams. Your leadership will help shape our financial products' future and drive our engineering department's growth.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage multiple engineering teams
Establish goals and objectives for each team, ensuring they are met consistently
Monitor and improve team velocity to ensure timely delivery of projects
Make key technical decisions, design solutions, negotiate with teams, and define deliverables and deadlines
Recruit new team members, ensuring the right talent is brought on board
Provide clear goals and objectives for engineers, fostering their growth through performance reviews and continuous feedback
Drive innovation by introducing new ideas, approaches, and techniques to enhance the product and support team development
Requirements
Proven work experience as an Engineering manager or in a similar leadership role
Excellent communication skills to supervise staff and collaborate with other managers
5+ years of experience in a developer position
Familiarity with industry development standards and technologies such as AWS, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, Apache Kafka
Strong problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced startup environment and manage evolving project requirements
Proficiency in English
