As we expand and modernize our infrastructure, we are seeking a dynamic B2B SaaS nfrastructure Deployment Project Manager to lead mission-critical projects involving data center operations, client migrations, ITSM implementation, and disaster recovery planning.
Key Responsibilities:
Infrastructure Deployment & Migration:
- Plan, execute, and oversee the deployment of new infrastructure across five data centers in France and Germany.
- Strategize and manage the migration of existing clients to new data centers with minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of infrastructure projects.
ITSM Implementation & Compliance:
- Implement and refine IT Service Management (ITSM) procedures in alignment with ISO 27001 standards.
- Establish monitoring systems and best practices for ongoing compliance and operational excellence.
System Patching & Vulnerability Management:
- Oversee and maintain patching schedules for all systems, technology stacks, and applications to ensure up-to-date security and performance.
- Manage the deployment of emergency vulnerability patches to mitigate risks in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with teams to review or write Bash scripts for automating routine patching tasks.
Operations Management & Cybersecurity:
- Administer Linux + Wildfly servers, MS-SQL, and Windows servers, including Domain Controllers and Active Directory.
- Ensure seamless application patching and upgrades, maintaining business continuity during deployment.
- Work with DevOps and IT Operations teams to automate operational tasks and improve efficiencies.
- Participate in defining application support work instructions in collaboration with 3rd-level support teams.
- Develop and maintain network segmentation, IP subnetting, routing, and DMZ architectures to secure sensitive data and systems.
- Participate in on-call escalations to troubleshoot and resolve critical issues in a timely manner.
Networking, Backup Management, and Disaster Recovery:
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive networking architectures to support scalable and secure operations.
- Manage robust backup solutions and ensure frequent testing of backup integrity.
- Design and document detailed disaster recovery plans and execute periodic disaster recovery simulations.
Documentation & Work Instructions:
- Write, update, and maintain detailed Work Instructions for all infrastructure deployment, operational, and maintenance tasks.
- Ensure documentation is aligned with best practices, ISO standards, and organizational needs.
Technology Stack Management:
- Ensure seamless deployment and management of tools and systems, including:
- Nagios for monitoring.
- Datto RMM for remote management and monitoring.
- OpenVPN for secure remote access.
- Palo Alto Firewalls for network security.
- CrowdStrike Falcon for endpoint protection.
- Okta for identity and access management.
- Veeam for backup and disaster recovery.
- VMware for virtualization.
- Containerization tools for efficient application deployment and scaling.
- Expertise in server hardening, imaging, and virtualization techniques.
Team & Vendor Management:
- Manage and evaluate subcontractors involved in hosting and operating services.
- Build operational frameworks to transition into the Head of IT Operations role, overseeing all hosting and service delivery activities.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Project Management: Proven experience in leading large-scale infrastructure deployment and client migration projects.
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of:
- 3-Tier Architecture
- MS-SQL Servers
- Wildfly WebApps
- Linux and Windows servers
- Domain Controllers and Active Directory (AD)
- Networking and Firewalls
- Network segmentation, IP subnetting, and routing.
- Deep understanding of backup management and disaster recovery planning and execution.
- Familiarity with tools and platforms, including:
- Nagios, Datto RMM, OpenVPN, Palo Alto Firewalls, CrowdStrike Falcon, Okta, Veeam, VMware, and containerization solutions.
- Experience with server hardening and imaging techniques.
- Ability to write and review Bash and PowerShell scripts.
- Cybersecurity: Demonstrable knowledge of data center security practices, risk management, and compliance standards.
- ITSM & ISO 27001: Experience implementing and managing ITSM frameworks in compliance with ISO 27001.
- Documentation: Proven ability to write and maintain clear, detailed Work Instructions and operational procedures.
- Collaboration: Experience working with DevOps and IT Operations teams to automate tasks and streamline operations.
- On-Call Support: Availability to participate in on-call escalations for critical issue resolution.
- Language Skills: Must be fluent in English, both written and spoken. Speaking French is a plus.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to engage with executive stakeholders.
- Remote Collaboration: Ability to lead distributed teams and ensure accountability in a remote-first work environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications such as PMP, ITIL, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer, or equivalent.
- Background in SaaS operations, data center management, or cloud infrastructure.
- Proficiency with project management tools like Jira and Zoho.
