We are seeking a talented and motivated Junior Data Engineer to join our growing team in a fully remote position based in Europe.
As a Junior Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting and scaling our data infrastructure, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative data solutions.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain data pipelines using cloud-based technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure)
Collaborate with product and tech teams to collate, clean, and analyze extensive datasets
Contribute to the design and implementation of data warehousing solutions
Assist in optimizing SQL queries and database performance
Participate in data discovery activities and perform root cause analysis for data quality issues
Support the development of data visualization tools and dashboards
Contribute to the implementation of data engineering best practices and methodologies
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Strong knowledge of SQL querying and development (e.g., joins, stored procedures, aggregations)
Basic experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and methodologies
Knowledge of Python or other programming languages relevant to data engineering
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a remote team environment
Fluency in English (both written and spoken)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark)
Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git)
Understanding of data privacy and security best practices
