About the job:

Flat2VR Studios is looking for a versatile and highly skilled Unreal Engine Developer to join our innovative team. This role offers the opportunity to work on exciting game adaptations, contributing to systems, gameplay mechanics, and a variety of development areas. While VR experience is highly preferred, we value passion for immersive gaming and a strong foundation in Unreal Engine development.


This is a fully remote job; we encourage anyone in the EU or UK to apply.


Some of the work you would be doing:

  • Bring an existing flatscreen Unreal Engine game to VR.
  • Create gameplay systems and mechanics using Unreal Engine.
  • Collaborate with several cross-disciplinary teams.
  • Tackle diverse technical challenges.
  • Maintain and improve code quality, performance, and reliability.
  • Debug and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Contribute creative solutions and ideas to enhance VR gameplay.


You might be a good fit for us if you have:

  • 5+ years of experience in Unreal Engine.
  • Great understanding of C++ and Blueprints.
  • Passion for VR gaming; professional experience in VR is a strong plus but not required.
  • Track record of designing and implementing gameplay systems & mechanics.
  • Experience in multiple areas of game development with a generalist mindset.
  • Strong debugging, optimization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with performance optimization techniques in Unreal Engine.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
