AJW Group are seeking an experienced IT Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our dynamic team. This hands-on role is crucial for maintaining and optimizing our cloud and on-premise infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, coupled with a passion for solving complex issues in a friendly and approachable manner.
Key duties are:
- Manage and troubleshoot on-premise and cloud environments.
- Deploy infrastructure (Windows/Network/Cloud) using Infrastructure as Code.
- Provide expert technical troubleshooting for managed systems.
- Assist with incident response and post-incident analysis.
- Develop automation strategies for system management using relevant tools.
- Ensure system performance meets SLA objectives.
- Maintain technical documentation for infrastructure and support.
- Provide 3rd line IT support escalation.
- Secure information assets and assist with information security governance.
- Lead projects and deliver on business requirements.
- Ensure critical systems and data are backed up, secure, and recoverable.
We are looking for a candidate with a solid background in traditional infrastructure and system administration, who has also gained experience with cloud platforms, ideally AWS.
Essential:
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and file/database clusters.
- Understanding of on-premises infrastructure and VMware.
- Proficient in creating & troubleshooting PowerShell scripts.
- Knowledge of enterprise network firewalls, switches, routers, VLANs, and networking protocols.
- Experience managing Office 365 (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive).
- Experience with Intune Endpoint Deployment (compliance policies, app deployment)
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues under pressure.
- Experience managing cloud Infrastructure (EC2, S3)
Desirable Requirements:
- Experience managing Fortinet firewalls and switches.
- Experience with source control tools (e.g., GIT).
- Experience managing development focused AWS infrastructure (EKS, ECS, Fargate, API Gateways, Lambdas, ELB/ALB).
- Experience with CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform).
- Understanding of Kubernetes and Docker.
- Experience with Nimble storage.
- Familiarity with Linux servers.
- Knowledge of Intune device management.
- Experience supporting Oracle databases.
- Basic knowledge of C#, .NET, and Go programming.
- Experience with backup technologies (Veeam).
- Familiarity with Jira and Confluence.
